Scotland have been forced to make late substitutions ahead of Saturday's Six Nations clash with France at Murrayfield.
Winger Kyle Stein, who was in the starting XI, was withdrawn from the matchday squad because his wife is in labor and due to give birth.
Harry Patterson started in place of Stein, and it will be a memorable day for the 22-year-old as he will be making his Test debut.
Patterson started at fullback for manager Gregor Townsend's side, with Kyle Rowe shifted to fill Stein's hole on the right.
The rest of Scotland's starting XI remains unchanged from the squad announced earlier this week.
Scotland vs France
Duane van der Merwe will start on the left wing alongside Lowe and Patterson, completing the back three. Huw Jones and Sione Tuipulotu will be the starting centres.
Finn Russell will co-captain the team from fly-half, with Ben White starting at scrum-half.
Jack Dempsey started at number eight, with co-captain Rory Darge returning in place of Jamie Ritchie, and Matt Fagerson completing the loose trio.
Grant Gilchrist and Scott Cummings will be the starting lock, with Pierre Schumann, George Turner and Xander Fagerson forming the front row.
Ewan Ashman, Alec Hepburn, Elliott Miller-Mills, Sam Skinner and Andy Christie sit on the bench in place of the forwards.
George Horne, Ben Healy and Cameron Redpath will replace him as backline players.
