Midas is a kind-hearted old man who recently lost his beloved home and friend of nine years. Thankfully, the previous owner had the foresight to enroll her in lifelong care for her cat. This allows pets to enter our shelter quickly if their owners become incapacitated or pass away. Although Midas is reserved at first, he is an affectionate, playful and talkative man. He loves being brushed and I'm a handsome guy! She has the cutest little smile that just screams. This cute boy will be your best furry friend and loyal companion. You can watch Midas play at https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ktmxoYOyPt0. Midas has health problems and needs a special guardian angel to take care of him. Midas has stage 2 kidney disease and has been receiving oral medication daily and subcutaneous fluids twice a week for the rest of his life. SPCA Florida will steadfastly support his future health needs thanks to the generosity of two donors. A donor who worships Midas becomes a customer of SPCA Florida Medical Center and will pay for the fluids/lines/needles for the rest of his life, provided he remains a customer. Another donor, passionate about supporting the needs of a senior cat, will pay for the initial exam and two additional exams at SPCA Florida's medical center. She will also be paying for her one year's worth of his prescription diet, Hills Her Science Her Diet KD (both wet and dry), if ordered through our medical center. Midas would like to meet you. Stop by the Florida SPCA. Have fun purring with him. For more information, please visit www.spcaflorida.org.

blondie
gender female
Age: 1 year old
Weight: 60 pounds
Species: dog
Breed: Medium-sized mixed breed – blonde
Isolation start date: January 18th
Adoption fee: $250
They say blondes are more fun. In Blondie's case, that may be true. Since he was picked up as a stray cat when he was just one year old, his life as a puppy is shrouded in mystery. Blondie can no longer have puppies after an examination revealed body art – a tattoo next to the spay site. She had a microchip implanted in her, but her owner was never found. Since she arrived at SPCA Florida in mid-January, the team has evaluated her personality and discovered that she is a big love bug. She is house trained and walks very well on a leash. She is healthy – fleas are a thing of the past – and is waiting to be walked with you. She should be the only four-legged fur baby in your pack, as she doesn't care about other dogs. Visit Blondie at SPCA Florida. For more information, please visit www.spcaflorida.org.
