– Now, it's time for attention on Friday, February 9th. On the earnings side, Pepsi, Enbridge, Honda, Blue Bell, and AMC Networks will all announce tomorrow. Enbridge releases fourth-quarter results before the bell. The energy giant is embroiled in a tense legal battle with the Bad River Tribe over the fate of an oil and gas pipeline across northern Wisconsin. A federal appeals court will hear oral arguments today.
– Moving on to the Fed, Dallas Fed President Rory Logan will speak tomorrow afternoon following this week's parade of Fed talks. And that comes after Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin echoed the view of other Feds that the central bank should take its time cutting rates. Barkin also said the data is noteworthy in that it shows inflation is falling. He said this in a speech at the New York Economic Club.
