Anupam Mittal shared with X his experience while flying with IndiGo. In his own post, he blamed the airline after his flight was delayed. He also described the situation as “inhumane”. His post received a reply from his IndiGo. The airline wrote that it “deeply regrets” the inconvenience caused.
“Kyaho Gayathum Koindigo? Mammu to Delhi > 45 minutes delay without air conditioning on the tarmac, so we can save costs. Dermamu will be delayed for more than 2 hours, but tickets will not be refunded.” he wrote. The Shaadi.com CEO also tagged the official X account of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India and wrote, “This is inhumane and should be made illegal.”
How did Indigo react?
“Mr. Mittal, we would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused as your morning flight from Mumbai was inadvertently delayed by 30 minutes due to unexpected traffic jams,” IndiGo wrote.
“Additionally, we regret to inform you that the delay on the Delhi-Mumbai flight was the result of an unexpected medical emergency on the incoming flight. Rest assured, we understand this,” the airline added.
