Do you want to lose weight while eating pizza? That dream can kill two birds with one stone.
A British personal trainer said he lost 13 pounds in one month and still devoured Domino's pizza every day.
Jaden Lee, 18, decided to eat one small pie from a pizza franchise every day in January to prove you don't have to give up processed foods to get in shape.
This teenager believes that no food should be taken off the menu as long as you are in a calorie deficit and exercise regularly.
“It was fun trying a new pizza every day,” Lee told WhatsTheJam this week. “For a long time, I had a terrible relationship with food and realized that people demonized certain processed foods.”
“Just because you're trying to lose some belly fat doesn't mean you have to go on a diet,” the Brit added.
PT tipped the scales at 161.60 pounds on January 1st before embarking on the 31-day challenge.
He limited his calorie intake to 2,500 calories per day and aimed to exercise for 45 minutes of aerobic exercise most days.
As of January 31st, my weight had dropped to 148.37 pounds.
“My body was fine. I was sleeping well, only feeling hungry occasionally, and my energy was good,” Lee claimed. “Nothing to complain about! Other than waiting for Domino's pizza, it was a bit of a hassle at times.”
PT ate pizza every day, but that high-fat meal combined with protein-rich meals such as banana protein pancakes, chocolate protein oats, scrambled eggs with vegetables, and banana and honey bagels with peanut butter. It was paired with a meal.
“I ate nutritious, high-protein, hearty foods to keep me full and give my body energy,” he explained.
In addition to frequent high-intensity aerobic exercise, the teen also did strength training and aimed to walk for at least 10 minutes after every meal.
He also made sure to sleep at least seven hours every night.
Although she won't be eating pizza every day anymore, Lee said this challenge proved she could still enjoy a snack on her weight loss journey without sacrificing the end result.
“Foods shouldn't be feared or eliminated when trying to lose fat, but rather should be included in an overall healthy diet,” he declared.
