Liza Kind Cooper has joined Englewood Health as vice president of strategy, according to an announcement last week. In this role, Cooper will be responsible for advising, overseeing and collaborating with her CEO and President on strategic projects. She also works with her senior leadership team to drive business growth and operational excellence and ensure the successful implementation and execution of key strategic initiatives.
Cooper previously served as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in New York City, where he advised both corporate and private equity clients with a focus on healthcare and life sciences.
Prior to joining Bain & Co., Mr. Cooper served as chief of staff at Englewood Health. As a member of the executive leadership team, she served her CEO on high-priority issues and also helped shape strategic initiatives and deliver operational improvements across the organization.
Some of the initiatives she has led include partnering with local organizations to improve services to the community, developing environmental sustainability programs, and focusing on expanding outpatient mental health services to communities in northern New Jersey. This included developing a targeted behavioral health strategic plan.
“Liza represents the next generation of healthcare leaders, and we are pleased to welcome her back,” said Warren Geller, CEO and president of Englewood Health. “Her healthcare business acumen, her leadership skills on major projects, and her dedication to patients at the end of every decision all make her uniquely talented and effective in her strategic planning role.” I’m making it a reality.”
