Dear Annie: I am knee-deep in a demanding job, but I absolutely love it.
The problem is that my health is clearly deteriorating. I don't get much sleep and I hardly have time to go to the gym. Due to time constraints, meals usually consist of fast food or frozen foods.
My body is starting to feel the effects and I want to feel good again without sacrificing too much time. Any tips? — Healthy Hack Seeker
Dear Healthy Hacks: If you don't take care of yourself, you'll burn out and your body won't be able to keep up the demanding job you love.
There are several ways to stay healthy without sacrificing convenience.
- Every weekend, take time to prepare your meals for the week. This doesn't have to be time consuming. Just throw a bunch of vegetables in the oven or cook a few chicken breasts. That way, you won't have to resort to fast food in a pinch.
- Let's go for a walk. Even if he doesn't have time to go to the gym for a full hour, just incorporating 10 minutes of walking two or three times a day can make a big difference.
- Prioritize sleep. When you prioritize sleep, you'll be much more productive and efficient during your workday. Stay energized by going to bed and waking up at the same time every day.
Good luck!
