GATIER, Miss. (WLOX) – Gautier Police announced Friday that they are investigating Sandy's Pet Grooming Too for multiple violations.
Gautier police said officers received a call from Crime Stoppers on Tuesday about possible animal abuse, neglect and illegal boarding at the store.
On Thursday, police, along with Animal Control and Gautier Law Enforcement, investigated Sandy's and required the store to cease all operations due to multiple code violations.
A post was made on the Sandi's Pet Grooming Too Facebook page Friday morning.
The post said, “Thank you to everyone who continues to love Sandi's Pet Grooming Too as much as I do. I am always striving to learn more about this growing business and keep the needs of pets at the forefront. … We are taking this time to rebuild and reevaluate and make conscious changes to better serve our customers in a timely manner.”
Police also announced that one person was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant.
Representatives from the Jackson County Animal Shelter also assisted in the investigation. All animals were returned to their owners and none were surrendered to animal control.
