A Wayne County family lost everything, including three pets, in a fire that destroyed their home on Wayne Center Road around 11 a.m. Tuesday. A GoFundMe has been started for a family who lost two dogs and a cat in the fire.
Clyde, Rose, Warrington, North Rose, Savannah, Wolcott, Marbletown, Red Creek and Lyons were all on the scene, according to our partners at Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire. The fire reignited in the late afternoon, according to scanner traffic. However, the house was completely destroyed in the first fire.
One person was taken to a local hospital after the fire. The extent of the injury could not be confirmed Tuesday night.
Eastern Wayne transported the victim to the hospital. Initial reports from the scene indicated the fire may have been caused by a wood stove.
Pictures of the scene from Warrington Fire Station are posted on Facebook.
