Ellis Tech's Kylie Damble has been named Bulletin Athlete of the Week.
The Golden Eagles senior forward had 15 points, four assists and three rebounds as the Ellis Tech women's basketball team improved to 11-2 with a 49-35 victory over Prince Tech University. Dumble also scored 12 points in the Golden Eagles' 63-38 win over CTC rival Norwich Tech.
This past week saw many outstanding performances in boys and girls basketball, wrestling and gymnastics across eastern Connecticut. There's no shortage of talent, but we went looking for the best talent.

Camron Barboza, Norwich Free Academy
The Wildcats' senior forward scored a team-high 18 points, including a 3-point play with 4.6 seconds left, to lead NFA to a thrilling 67-66 victory over Fitch. Barboza also scored 10 points in NFA's 60-54 win over East Lyme, helping the Wildcats (6-6) reach .500.
carmelo curtis, griswold
The Wolverines' junior guard made six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points in Griswold's 59-56 loss to Bacon Academy. Curtis also scored 14 points in the Wolverines' 59-58 win over Norwich Free Academy.
Brenna Johnson, Plainfield
Johnson competed as a team and took first place in the individual all-around (37.1 points), jump (9.65 points), vault (9.35 points) and horizontal bars (9.4 points) in the gymnastics competition with Killingly and Stonington.

Abby Matheson, Griswold
The Wolverines' junior guard scored 16 points in a 53-47 loss to St. Bernard. Matheson also scored 12 points in Griswold's 34-31 win over Wheeler.
Emily Orcutt, Norwich Free Academy
The Wildcats' junior forward had 24 points and eight rebounds to lead NFA to its sixth straight victory with a 63-33 win over Waterford.
Brady Zadra, Killingly
Killingly's junior wrestlers posted a 4-0 record at the state S/M dual championships in Milford, extending Killingly's dual meet winning streak to 59. He won Pool C, defeating Foran 48-24 and RHAM 47-29 in the final.
