HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – January may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean you're missing out on the opportunity to achieve your health goals.
The Huntsville community gathered Saturday for a health and wellness fair at the Southeast Family YMCA.
The annual fair provided an opportunity for families and individuals to learn more ways to take control of their health and maintain a healthier lifestyle.
Sharon Allen, Heart of the Valley YMCA's director of fitness and corporate wellness, said the event is always held in January of each year to help people keep their resolutions. .
“Now is the perfect time to get everyone here – [People] I always want to start a movement and start working toward new solution goals,” Allen said.
Fair attendance received a great response from the community.
Caitlin Gillikin, a vendor at the fair and a weight loss expert, said it was great to see all the people participating in the event, which gave them a sense of well-being.
“This is great and shows what Huntsville really values.” [the] I wish health and happiness for myself and those around me,” Gillikan said. “It's great to see the next generation growing up, and it's important for them to learn about health.”
More than 50 wellness experts answered your questions. People also had the opportunity to receive a free health check and learn more about the possibility of registering and participating in what the Y has to offer.
