Traitors viewers mocked Harry Clarke for acting as if he “couldn't afford Toby Carbery with his family” during Thursday's episode.
The 23-year-old British Army corporal gave an intimate insight into his family life during the show's lavish dinner party.
He told the other contestants on the show that he would love to win the money so he can take his family out and about and finally have peace of mind when he receives his bill.
And despite that sentiment, fans are wondering why the traitor would try to appear working class while showing off his lavish private jet lifestyle on Instagram.
Harry told his team, sitting at the dining table looking as dapper as ever, wearing a suit and boots. “My happiness is seeing my family happy, like my brothers and sisters.”
“My house is like a crazy house because we have 11 or 12 people. So when we go out to eat as a family, we're not the only ones going out. You can hear us going out.
“But the best thing is to go home and say on Saturday, 'Let's all go out,' and at the end of the day, no one has to worry about money.” First, you can go and pay your bills. That alone is great, but it prepares me for the next chapter of my life.
“I'm not considering getting out of the military, but I'm kind of tired of traveling all the time.”
Before joining the show, Harry worked full-time as an engineer in the British Army.
While his followers may believe every word the cheeky Chappie says, BBC viewers are left wondering why he lives a lifestyle so contrary to the one he portrays on the show.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Why does Harry need all this money when he's flying around in a private jet?” It's no good anymore. ”
“Wait a minute, Mr. Hazza, tonight’s episode made me think I couldn’t afford to eat Toby Cavery with my family…”
“How many times does Harry want to go out to eat?”
“I hope the people who really need the money win!”
The outrage stems from a post Harry made on social media before the show.
In July 2023, he posted a photo of himself and pop star Conor Maynard sitting on a private jet wearing a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag and a Vivienne Westwood signet ring.
In another post, the game show contestant also shared a photo of himself enjoying a luxury holiday in Brighton, relaxing in an open pool by the seafront.
At the beginning of the second series, Harry is chosen as one of three “traitors” whose job is to “kill” the remaining 19 “loyal” contestants night after night.
Meanwhile, the believers uncover the true identity of the traitors and target them in order to secure the bounty.
Harry was initially in the shadow of a fellow traitor, the proud and villainous Paul Gorton, but that student became his master and killed him.
Last night's epic episode saw Harry continue his mission of deception. In a shocking development that proved he was even more dangerous than many had imagined, he brutally “murdered” another newly recruited traitor, Ross Carson – before Ross Carson, who cynically befriended him on the night of.
