1. Have a spa day – Give your dog a bath, take him to the groomer, or just give him a good brushing. If your feline friend likes baths, give them a bath together or comb their fur with a soft, natural-bristle brush.
2. read aloud to your pet – Reading to animals is beneficial for your child. It gives them motivation and confidence and also helps with fluency. Children aren't the only ones who benefit from reading to animals. Animals are also helped by the attention they receive. Through the act of reading, children gain a sense of purpose when they feel that the animals are benefiting from their kindness and care.
3. something delicious – Reward your pet. These are Andrea's homemade dog treats.
- 2 cups Old Fashioned Oats (crush an extra cup so you can sprinkle it on the dough as you roll it out)
- 2 medium ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
Preheat oven to 300F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Add the oats to a food processor and grind until a fine powder is formed. Add banana and peanut butter and mix until a sticky dough forms. Remove from the food processor and roll out on a lightly floured surface. (Use whole wheat flour, more oatmeal flour, or whatever dog-safe flour you have on hand). Cut out the sweets using a cookie cutter. Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the treats are slightly puffed and the bottoms are dry and dark brown.
Four. donate to pet charities – Show your love to pets who are less fortunate than you by donating your time, supplies, and money to local pet rescues and shelters. Warm blankets, food, treats, and toys are always welcome, but please contact the organization you want to support first to find out what they need most.
Five. Give a gift to your furry friend – Buy treats and toys to surprise your furry friend. Not only will they attract attention, but you'll have hours of fun playing with your gift.
