Timberland boots are known as some of the most popular footwear in New York City, especially during the colder months. The brand is now expanding into the fashion industry. First stop? Paris Fashion Week Men's. The collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Timberland, revealed by Pharrell yesterday, has caused a current throughout the shoe market. The boots are part of the Parisian brand's Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection and come in classic yellow, while the other pair was black. We also took note of the dark brown pair, which was adorned with lots of gold LV monograms. Earlier this week, Pharrell teased the pair, which features a monogrammed tongue, and they also appeared on the runway at the Louis Vuitton show.
That's not all. At a Williams-led presentation, we found a pair that goes beyond high-tops. It was actually a double high top with a strap along the middle of the suede boot. The show also featured a two-tone Timberland with a light brown and dark brown toe cap. Black shoes without laces also appeared on the runway. Pusha T was also worn.
The brand will also appear in three more runway shows at Paris Fashion Week Men's to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Trendy yellow boots continued to advance and grow in his 80s. Jay-Z and Notorious BIG wore these at some point in their careers. As the years passed, they became synonymous with hip-hop and streetwear culture. Nowadays, it's seeing a resurgence, except in high-fashion spaces. The brand announced earlier this week that it would be immersing itself through a variety of activations. The latest campaign, with the tongue-in-cheek slogan 'Je T'imbs', pays homage to Paris.
“We can't think of a more exciting way to celebrate our 50th anniversary, start the new year, and continue the momentum of the yellow boots,” Maisie Willoughby, Timberland's chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “The energy of Paris Fashion Week is unparalleled, not just on the runway but on the streets. We want to use this moment to celebrate the culture and community that has been part of Paris, fashion, and Timberland’s journey. I'm excited to be doing this,” Willoughby added.
Louis Vuitton was the first show to feature Timberland boots and monogrammed sweatsuits, but Wales Bonner may have been the second. The look, which debuted a potential collaboration, consisted of a minimalist suede blazer, denim pants, a t-shirt, and what appeared to be yellow timbs. I'd like to keep an eye on the next show Timberland will appear at.
