Hodder & Stoughton has announced a raft of recruitment in its marketing department, with four new roles being created to “strengthen the skills and expertise within the team”.
Helena Fouracre joined Hodder & Stoughton on June 17th as head of marketing, where she is responsible for the entire Hodder fiction slate and several non-fiction releases each year, and joins creative and marketing director Vicki. He will report directly to Palmer. Fouracre is currently a Senior Marketing Manager at Orion, where she has been working since 2020. She has provided campaign strategy for nonfiction authors such as Joshua Fletcher and Emily English, as well as authors such as The Hairy Bikers and Veronica Her Henry. Fouracre is also working on Chloe Ashby and her Kirsty Capes debut campaign. carelessness (Orion) won the 2021 Book Marketing Association Award in the debut category.
In addition, Ella Young has been appointed Senior Marketing Executive, joining from Avon on April 29, and Emily Harrison has been appointed as Marketing Executive, following the promotion of Melissa Grierson to Marketing Executive in February. Hodder is also recruiting for the new role of brand manager for Hodderscape and Special Editions. According to the publisher, this role will specialize in planning and delivering special edition sales through specialty retailers and direct-to-consumer channels.
Hodder & Stoughton's marketing department is part of the Creative Collective, which comprises both art and marketing teams, under the direction of Creative and Marketing Director Vicki Palmer. The business will be run on a day-to-day basis by Alice Morley, Deputy Director of Marketing, who reports to Palmer, who has been with Hodder for eight years.
