It didn't take long for the rescued kitten to get used to his new home, as he made his voice loud and clear in a recent TikTok video.
Justin, a cat owner from Arizona, said: newsweek He rescued an orange kitten with eye problems. He knew that most people would think of vet bills for her as soon as they saw her. But Justin took her home, spent $200 on her vet, and now cares for her.
Usually rescue pets go through an adjustment period when transitioning to a new environment, but this kitten named Tia Tortilla felt the love as soon as she stepped into her foster home. Justine's other cats greeted her and they all started playing with her. And just one day later, she was recorded intimidating him.
In a March 31 TikTok shared to the account @followmycrazycatlife, Justin was stroking Tia Tortilla when he stopped and she wasn't happy. Tia Tortilla turned to face him and meowed. She demanded that he continue stroking her.
Even though she was such a small creature, she had a strong voice. Justin says he's the one who makes her purr the loudest, but he's very sweet and follows him around the house.
Justin plans to care for Tia Tortilla until mid-May, when the soon-to-be parents will be born. Until then, he and her three indoor cats will have fun with her.
Once she leaves, he plans to turn his attention to another cat rescue: rescuing 10,000 cats as part of a mission he started in 2022. Since reaching his goal, he has rescued six cats, but before that he rescued about 35 cats.
He said he will continue to rescue cats as long as he can. And having achieved his goal, he will start a new one, because he does not consider himself to never stop.
“I found my purpose in rescuing cats,” Justin said. “…nothing makes me feel more perfect.”
