Leinster will now face La Rochelle in the Champions Cup quarter-finals after securing a place in the last eight.
The duo will face off again in a repeat of the 2022 and 2023 finals, but this time it will be before the marquee event.
La Rochelle won both of those encounters, eliminating Leinster in the last four of the Champions Cup in 2021 with a 32-23 victory.
do not be afraid
The fixture will be held in Dublin, but there should be no fear for the French, who defeated Leo Cullen's side at the Aviva Stadium last May.
Ronan O'Gara's side were not at their best in 2023/24 and only narrowly made it to the knockout stages, but they showed their resilience by narrowly defeating the Stormers in the Round of 16.
Similarly, Leinster are looking for the best after bringing in Springbok Rugby World Cup-winning head coach Jack Nienaber this season.
They were tested by Leicester Tigers, but their superior qualities were ultimately proven, with a relatively comfortable 36-22 success in the last 16.
'It's a great challenge' – Leinster enthusiastically welcome to face La Rochelle in Champions Cup final rematch
The winner of this contest will face either Northampton Saints or the Bulls at Franklin's Gardens next weekend.
Northampton won the game against Ireland's Munster, but the South Africans were too good against second team Lyon and won 59-19.
At the other end of the draw, Harlequins face a difficult task away at Bordeaux Begles after the French beat Saracens 45-12.
Quins managed to beat Glasgow Warriors 28-24, but the Premiership side will need to improve defensively if they are to reach the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Exeter Chiefs will host top-seeded Toulouse in the final, with the five-time champions easily defeating Racing 92.
Exeter defeated fellow countrymen Bath in the Round of 16, but like Quins, stopping the Toulouse giants will be a daunting task.
