He is an obvious player to be named Player of the Season and is certainly a key figure in Gareth Southgate's England plans.
Phil Foden drove this season, scoring an astonishing 22 goals in all competitions.
His recent performance against Aston Villa kept Manchester City in the title race, scoring a sublime hat-trick and earning a standing ovation from the home fans.
Foden, 23, a humble and unassuming young man from Stockport, earns an eye-watering salary of around £11.7m a year.
And despite spending his money wisely, he can afford to live a life of luxury off the pitch.
Foden's lifestyle is as follows:
his house
Foden bought a £2.8 million house in Cheshire in cash when he was still a teenager.
He bought it for his parents and continued to live with them until 2021.
He then spent around £3 million on a house in the exclusive Prestbury area, just five minutes away.
The five-bedroom house is located in a village famous for its football players.
Wayne Rooney lived nearby before moving to a £20 million mansion nearby.
A source told The Sun in 2022: “Phil loves her life in Cheshire, but she felt it was time for her to leave the nest now that he and his partner Rebecca have two young children.
“This is in his old neighborhood, so they already feel quite at home.”
Lady
Moving in with him is his wife of many years, Rebecca Cook, who is also the mother of his two children.
They reportedly met at a party in Stockport when they were teenagers.
Since then, she has been spotted joining the England Wags in tournaments such as the Euros and the World Cup.
Foden became a father for the first time when he and Rebecca welcomed son Ronnie into the world at the age of 18.
Speaking about the magical moment on Man City's website, he said: “I was present at the birth.
“I walked out of the room, shed a few tears, and then went back in as if nothing had happened.
“I'm not good at crying in public. I like being alone, but I was in the room and I saw it happen and it was a special moment.”
The family expanded with the birth of a daughter in 2021, but her name has not been disclosed.
grab the handle
Given his huge salary and having to compete with other Man City stars in the motor stakes, it could be deceiving that Foden drives a flashy car.
But that's definitely not the case.
That's because Foden just passed his driving test in December. He confirmed the news on social media.
The midfielder looked happy as he sat on a steering wheel emblazoned with the Volkswagen logo, thumbs up in one hand and a certificate of passing the driving test in the other.
The car he was driving was an all-electric hatchback ID.3.
It costs up to £40,000 and has a 150kW electric motor powering the rear wheels, but it can't compare in speed to the Lamborghinis and Ferraris that grace the City's training facilities.
The ID.3 goes from 0-60 mph in about 7.9 seconds, but has a top speed of only 99 mph.
However, it is the perfect starter car for new drivers.
jewelry partnership
Foden admits that she has fallen behind on fashion and style in the past, but has since focused on her jewelery line.
In 2023, the Champions League winner teamed up with London-based brand Cernucci.
Inspired by a mix of hip-hop, football and street culture, the shoes have become a celebrity favorite.
Rapper Don Toliver, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and actor John Boyega are all fans.
Foden has already released two collections with the brand, which were shared in a glossy photoshoot.
The collection includes chains, rings, bracelets and earrings made in 18K gold and white gold plated with 5A grade stones.
All are reasonably priced, with some chains selling for just £137.99 online.
favorite hobby
When Foden wants to relax, he indulges in his favorite hobby.
It's a passion that the likes of Paul Gascoigne and David Seaman have also enjoyed to take their mind off the pressure of the game.
Fishing is Stockport Iniesta's favorite hobby.
Foden once trekked to Spain, where he caught a 130-pound catfish.
“I was probably about 6 or 7 years old and my dad had my dad's fishing rod and he said let's go and try it out,” he recalled.
“I fell in love with it and started going every weekend. I still remember the first time I caught it.
“It wasn’t that big of a deal, just learning, but the excitement of getting it for the first time.
“I think it’s the buzz that makes me want to go again, but it’s also the chance to relax, unwind and spend time with my dad.
“I think it’s really good to rest your legs after a game and I think it’s really fun.
“There are tactics: knowing which spots to fish, knowing where the fish are, fishing different lengths…
“There's a lot going on behind the scenes, but when I have an odd day off, I simply fish. I'm no expert, but I still manage to catch some.
“I basically love all kinds of sports, but I don't do anything other than fishing.”
