STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (April 4, 2024) – Stan's, a pioneering cycling performance products brand, announced the appointment of Jeff Lockwood as Global Marketing Director.
In his new role, Lockwood will lead brand strategy and identity. Product, channel, and performance marketing. The same goes for communication and public relations activities.
“I’ve been a long-time believer and user of Stan’s products, since the brand launched nearly 25 years ago, and I get it. Leading and growing the company’s marketing and branding efforts is something I’m excited about. This is a great opportunity for us that we are very much looking forward to,” Lockwood explains.
Lockwood arrives at Stan’s after seven years as international marketing manager for Ritchie, an iconic brand of bicycles and components. In his Switzerland-based role, Mr. Lockwood was responsible for managing all marketing, branding, media and content activities for the brand outside of the United States.
“Jeff brings a wealth of industry experience, a methodical and creative approach to marketing and branding, and a proven track record with several prestigious brands. I'm excited to welcome Jeff to the team. We're excited and look forward to his contributions in all the exciting activities we're working on this year and into the foreseeable future,” says Stan President Mike Busch.
Lockwood began his journey into the world of cycling with the mountain bike magazine Dirt Rag. He then spent several years in the industry as a marketing and branding consultant and as an editor and writer for various media outlets around the world. At various points, he has worked with or collaborated with brands such as Pivot Cycles/BH Bikes USA and Bontrager. In addition, Lockwood operated a boutique his marketing and his web design agency that primarily catered to brands in the cycling field. And in 2014 he was the founding editor-in-chief of grit.cx, a British gravel and cyclocross magazine.
