On his 70th birthday on April 7, global icon Jackie Chan posted a rare personal post on social media to address concerns over recent photos that made him look much older than his age. Shared the post.
About a month ago, photos of him attending an event in China with gray hair and a beard flooded social media, sparking concerns about his health.
The Hong Kong action actor reflected on aging while posting several old photos of himself on Instagram.
Amidst the outpouring of well-wishes on his birthday, the actor highlighted his impressive career and time in the public eye, which spanned more than 60 years.

Jackie Chan celebrates 70th birthday and expresses shock
The post began with Rush Hour saying, “Even before today, many of my friends have reminded me, 'Jackie, your 70th birthday is coming up!'” Every time I hear this number, my heart stops for a second – am I already 70? ”
Quoting his brother Sammo Hung's words, “It's a blessing to be able to grow old,'' the actor said, “How lucky we are to be able to grow old, especially for us stuntmen.'' I don't know,” he wrote.
Hong Kong action star Hung defended Chan after some netizens disparaged his appearance.
“Who doesn't get old? The important thing is to stay healthy as you get older,” Fung said at a conference held by the Hong Kong Directors Guild last month, The Star reported. He spoke at the award ceremony.
“Why did these people say so bad about him? They act as if they never get old,” he added.

Chans talks about the photo with gray hair
Chan then reassured fans that he was fine, clarifying that his old look was only for a part in the upcoming American martial arts film, The Karate Kid.
“This character requires me to have gray hair, a white beard, and to look older,” he said, adding that he is always willing to try new things for the film.
“Whether it's a difficult stunt or a breakthrough appearance for a character,” he emphasized
Speaking about his illustrious 62-year career in the entertainment industry, Chan admitted that he is “lucky” to still be filming.
While sharing some of the memorable pictures, the actor said, “Looking at these pictures brings back so many fond memories. All I can say is I love making movies and I love you all.'' That's all,” he said.
He concluded his post by thanking all his fans and supporters who wished him on his birthday. “Thank you so much to everyone for the birthday wishes. I hope everyone is happy and healthy!”
Will Smith wishes birthday greetings to Chan
Meanwhile, American actor Will Smith wished Chan a happy 70th birthday on Instagram. Smith's son Jaden Smith co-starred with the Hong Kong star in the martial arts film The Best Kid (2010).
“The time we spent with you all in Beijing during the screening of 'The Karate Kid' had a lasting impact on our entire family. We wish you deep love and enlightenment on your next journey around the sun.” he wrote, sharing the beautiful moments he spent with Chan during the filming of the movie.
