CVAS encourages anyone looking to bring a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoption at shelters.
Pets become homeless for a variety of reasons and need a new home and a second chance. If you're looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter's many residents. They all make great pets and great companions.
Currently, adoptions are by appointment only, and this is working very well. Donors also provided supplies and funds for homeless animals at the shelter.

Arthur is a friendly cat who came to the shelter as a stray. He is a 3 year old black and white boy and he would make a really nice companion to anyone. Could that someone be you?
toby
In early December 2023, 12 dogs were surrendered to a shelter after their owners passed away. This group of puppies spent their entire lives in barn sheds before arriving at the shelter. When they arrived they were all dirty and very scared. Toby is one of those dogs who is slowly coming out of his shell and learning that humans aren't so bad. He is a 2 year old Collie mix who needs someone who understands that he will need time and patience to settle into a loving forever home. Toby is a really kind person and deserves a second chance.
