TEMPLE, Texas — Two Texas pets are asking for your vote in a contest like no other.
Nationwide Pet Insurance holds its annual Whimsical Pet Name Contest. In this contest, pets with unusual names from all over the country compete for the title of having the most unique name among the animals recently registered with the company. This year, he has two entries from Texas.
Stepping into the ring for the Lone Star State will be Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, a cat from Dallas/Fort Worth, and Midsize Sedan, a turtle from San Antonio.
The contest is divided into three categories: dogs, cats, and exotic pets, including guinea pigs, snakes, birds, and more.
