Epiq Solutions, part of the Veritas Capital portfolio, has acquired G3 Technologies' CyberRadio Solutions business unit for an undisclosed amount.
This acquisition is part of Epic's strategy to deepen its capabilities in high frequency products for space-based solutions. Epiq focuses on software defined radio and space computing solutions. With the addition of CyberRadio, Epiq expands its lineup of tuners, downconverters, signal generators, and more.
CyberRadio also focuses on developing open architecture products. This is also a key focus area for his Epiq, especially for products where size, weight and power consumption are important.
“CyberRadio Solutions' team and product portfolio bring a new dimension to Epiq, with outstanding RF performance that powers our mission,” Epiq co-founder and CEO John Orlando said in a release.
By becoming part of Epiq, CyberRadio will have access to more resources, including for research and development, the companies said.
CyberRadio will operate as a separate division of Epiq and will continue under the same management team, led by President Rob Diefes.
Covington and Latham & Watkins LLP were both legal advisors to Epiq and Veritas. Miles & Stockbridge was CyberRadio's legal advisor and its financial advisor was Monument Capital Partners.
Veritas acquired Epiq in July 2022 through its $1.8 billion Vantage Fund, which focuses on mid-market companies. In January 2023, the private equity firm backed Epic's acquisition of Xiphos, a company that makes embedded processing capabilities that contribute to larger space-based systems.
