“Whether a bathroom layout is suitable for this design style depends on factors such as available space and desired aesthetics,” says Severin Tatangelo, founder of Studio PCH. “In large spaces, you can take advantage of the vast natural surroundings to create a luxurious, spa-like bathing space. Conversely, in smaller areas, a shower without a door can increase the feeling of openness and light perception. can.”
Are doorless showers practical?
Apart from aesthetics, wet room style bathrooms need to be practical, easy to use and low maintenance. Does having a doorless shower make cleaning and maintenance easier or a lot of work?
“Doorless showers offer practicality in a variety of environments and seamlessly integrate into diverse spaces, from compact studio apartments to spacious en suite bathrooms,” says Severine. She embraces a contemporary aesthetic of minimalism and clean lines, giving it a modern and sophisticated feel. “I also love the idea of a room with all the fixtures arranged for maximum functionality and tiling throughout the shower, walls and floor,” says Lisa. “Think of a cloud-like stucco bathroom, where every detail is round, smooth, and thoughtful. Both design scenarios would be better without a door.”
