1. River Walk:
One of the most popular pet-friendly trails in Idaho Falls is the River Walk. This scenic trail stretches along the Snake River and offers breathtaking views of waterfalls and lush greenery. Dogs are welcome on a lead. You can trot along with them as you stroll along rivers or under the canopy of mature trees. With multiple access points and varying lengths (up to 5-mile loops), the River Walk caters to all fitness levels.
2. Freeman Park Trail:

4. Lily Reservoir Trail:

5. Cress Creek Trail:
Located along the South Fork of the Snake River, this 600-foot hike is a great place for beginners who want to walk their dogs on a leash outside of the cityscape. Climbing through a landscape of sagebrush and grass, this trail winds past juniper-covered slopes and culminates in a quaint stream. Numerous stations along the paved path provide insightful details about wildflowers, animal tracks and droppings, and various tree species.
6. Lower Palisades Trail:
Explore this popular 15.9 mile round trip trail near Irwin, ID. This trail is not for beginners. It is moderately difficult and takes approximately 4 hours to complete. The best months to visit are March to November. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead.
