Neglecting marketing?

A few words from Tampa Bay's general manager last month turned into an effort to sell tickets for the Bucs.
The Buccaneers will feature a digital display of Lavonte David, Mike Evans, Baker Mayfield, and Antoine Winfield Jr. combined with game action images and the tagline “One of the best free agency acquisitions of all time…” We are advertising.
A call-to-action button will then appear that says “Join The Krewe.” This means cutting Team Glazer a check for season tickets.
It was facilitated by the Bucks' altered DNA that Bucks GM Jason Licht publicly offered that “carry” line. The team is bitter from top to bottom as the national media downplays the quality of the roster and staff.
“This is one of the biggest free agent acquisitions in history, but it's our own players,” Richt said at the One Buck Palace press conference in mid-March. “We have a Hall of Famer here – Labonte. [David and] microphone. It was incredible. I think it's time for the domestic media to realize that we have great players. They already know, but now they really know. It's a great time for us. ”
And now it has become a marketing slogan.
As recently as five years ago, NFL team officials said they didn't want players to be busy in free agency because it meant they had flaws that the front office probably couldn't fix. That's what he said. Now the emphasis has been reversed a bit. Teams are aggressively touting their re-signed players and the effort and management required to make that happen.
That's great, but most casual fans and many hardcore people don't see it as an improvement, or even free agency.
So that's the tricky part when it comes to creating the kind of excitement that leads to ticket sales.
Joe will put more emphasis on communicating to fans that watching a Bucks game is about watching history every week that Evans, David, and Tristan Wirfs are on the field. That's right, Mr. Wirfs. He's a popular guy and without a doubt the best offensive lineman in team history.
