Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has won the hearts of his fans with his traditional Bengali attire. Iyer took to Instagram to share a video in which his team transformed him by making him wear a dhoti and a kurta.
The video begins with Iyer getting a haircut at her vanity table. Next she wears a traditional Bengali white dhoti and a purple kurta and completes her look with black slippers and traditional white shoes. It's enchanting. The video ends with Iyer coming out of the van and someone complimenting him. Kubu Baro In Bengali (very good).
“Embracing my inner Bengali,” Iyer wrote while sharing the video.
Since the video was uploaded on Instagram, it has received over 7,95,000 likes and received various reactions. Reacting to this, one user wrote, “Our handsome Skip Iyer.” Another fan commented, “He was born in Maharashtra by mistake… He was supposed to be born in Bengal… Just amazing.”

Recently, Shreyas Iyer, who leads IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), appeared on Netflix's T.The Great Indian Kapil Show With Rohit Sharma of Mumbai Indians. Mr. Iyer spoke to the comedian and praised Mr. Sharma, saying that she has been his idol since childhood. “He is from Mumbai and I am also from Mumbai. I have grown up watching him,” Iyer said on the show.
He also shared an anecdote about how he faced criticism from senior players.
