COld weather gear continues to grow as a category in golf, and one of the go-to brands for women is Callaway Apparel.
Over the past several seasons, Callaway has incorporated materials and technologies into its women's outerwear products that provide warmth, comfort and flexibility in cold temperatures, giving women a means to extend their golf season. Popular categories include lightweight and mid-weight comfort layers, thermal and insulated jackets, and windproof and waterproof gear.
“Offering cold-weather apparel ensures that female golfers can enjoy the sport year-round,” said Lupe Benitez, Callaway Apparel's senior vice president of design. “Golf shops are taking advantage of demand by expanding their inventory.”
Benitez says that just as golfers invest in the right equipment, they're also willing to invest in high-quality apparel that allows them to play comfortably in cold temperatures. Callaway responded by introducing innovative details to the construction of his garments while using materials and technology made for cold environments, including his 2024 style below.
Engineered chevron quilted jacket with Swing Tech technology, silver two-way zipper and zippered side pockets, adjustable cuffs and toggle hem.
The Liberty Waterproof Jacket is a fully seam-sealed outer layer with adjustable cuffs, a drawstring detail at the back waist, and a droptail back hem for added coverage.
A thermal golf pullover from Callaway's Weather Series, the Women's Mock Neck Golf Sweater features stretch for comfort and contrast-colored stripes on the sleeves and slits on the cuffs for an added athletic flair.
The Women's Solid Sun Protection 1/4 Zip Golf Pullover is made from lightweight single-knit fabric with added stretch, moisture-wicking properties to keep you dry, and Swing Tech technology to support your every move.
“Women dress well and understand the need to dress in layers to adapt to changing weather conditions,” Benitez says. “Style remains a top priority, but it's important to provide clothing that provides warmth, flexibility and protection without compromising the golf swing.”
